Single Parent

Zach doesn't travel much for work. Except for this week. And last week. And two weeks before that. But other than that, he is always home at 5:30 to help me, and he does. A lot.

So today, after braving the spaghetti bowl full of agressive drivers that is Greensboro highways to take Zach to the airport, I was on my own for the remainder of the day. I run a really tight ship when Zach is gone. I brought the boys home and fed them lunch. Then they ate my lunch too. Then it was nap time. I think we all got about 2 hours in, it was rough. After we woke up from our leisurely afternoon nap, I chased the boys around on my hands and knees... they love that. Then I let them empty the cupboard under the sink, their favorite. At 4:30 I decided it was time for dinner. We had a banana - you don't have to cook those - and chicken nuggets - microwaveable & ready to eat in 40 seconds. See what I mean? A tight ship.

After bath time, where I discovered Grant is now afraid of water, it was time for bed. My work was done today at 6:30. Thankfully, the boys were pretty good tonight even while Zach was gone. Unfortunately, I now have no idea what to do with myself.
