$63 tank of gas

Last week was cold. Don't laugh Ohio friends. We even had snow. So on Thursday when temperatures rose to the 50s I decided to get out of the house. I went to wash the car because I knew the boys would love to see a car wash, except I didn't know there was no car wash at the gas station we sometimes go to when Costco's closed. So instead I went to Costco to fill up the gas tank. I hopped out and locked the keys in the car. Crap! I called Zach, no answer. I told the attendant. She called her boss (maybe to laugh at me?). I called Zach, no answer again. I texted him. "Help". No reply. Again. "Locked the boys in the car". No reply. The attendant called a locksmith. I disrupted the Costco gas line for 20 minutes. It reminded me exactly why I like the south. Three people asked me if I needed help. One told me to contact my car insurance and they would reimburse the locksmith fee. At first the boys thought it was kind of fun. I made faces at them to keep them entertained. But of course they were in tears before the ordeal was through. The locksmith came. He unlocked the car in less than a minute. Then charged me $45. What a job. I forgot to ask for a receipt. On our way back home, Zach called to ask if I was ok. "I just spent 63 bucks on a tank of gas." I told him. It was good to get home.

Nice one. I'm waiting for Cari-Ann to write a post just like this one. She is famous for locking keys in cars.
