Thanksgiving Recovery

Thanksgiving is over and I feel I am starting to recover from the whole whirlwind. Our family had several firsts. Zach and I stuffed and roasted our first Turkey. We picked out an 18 pounder. What were we thinking? That was two pounds per person, including the smallest person, who doesn't even eat baby food yet.

We hosted Zach's brother's family, the first time we got to host Thanksgiving.

Zach and I went shopping on Black Friday. At 5 in the morning. For the first time ever. We scored some sweet deals and the crowds actually made me feel giddy. Normally I despise crowds. Maybe I'll go next year too.

Grant ran away for the first time when his cousin left our back door open. He was discovered 20 minutes later by our neighbor's dog and he was returned to us with a smug smile on his face. Then he was grounded for the first time in his life. It should take him about 10 years before he even knows what that means.

Ben and Rebekah watched the boys while Zach and I saw New Moon. After the movie, I told Zach I had bad breath and he said, "Well I have Vampire Breath". I love that guy.

I hope your Thanksgiving was just as fun. Now I have to go clean the leftovers out of my fridge before they turn green.

That must have been so scary when he ran away! I did that when I was young too. In diapers I think. And you are crazy getting up so early just to shop!
